BOYS, BOYS, BOYS! New to the gang is Vectra, co-owned with Doug and Denise Caldwell of A.L. Paca's Farms. He is a gorgeous medium silver gray and full brother to 10-time winner, Rose to the Occasion. He joins BlueGenes' Princeton, out of Simba of A.L. Paca's; a stunning fawn with a grey pattern; Smudge, a beautiful silver grey male out of Gunnison from Alpine Alpacas; and Ivanhoe, a light silver gray male out of Salsa (Maroon) and Vox Excalibur. Ivanhoe became a first-time dad last spring to a lovely true black female named Ivy. Ivan has a wonderfully long staple, and tips white. A local spinner has "dibs" on Ivan's fleece and for the past 4 years has purchased it months before shearing. Our up and coming herd sire, Henry Higgins, was born in June 05 and is a striking medium/dark silver grey. We're eager to get him breeding because his fine, dense fleece will be a good match with at least two of our girls.

	BLUEGENES' HENRY HIGGINS Dam: My Fair Lady Sire: Royal Reggae Henry's fleece has just blossomed over time. It’s fine and dense with tight crimp from skin to tip. His coverage is excellent with fleece even between his toes. A perfect match for a couple of our females, we're looking forward to breeding season. We also have Henry for sale at $15,000, but will reserve breed-backs.

BLUEGENES' PRINCETON Dam: My Fair Lady Sire: Simba of A.L. Paca's We wanted to improve the fineness of one of our silver grey females by breeding her to a fawn in the hopes of getting a silver or rose grey. What we got is a fawn male with what appears to be a grey tuxedo pattern (not well expressed). This is very exciting. His fleece is crimpy and bundled, and if he grows up to be anything like his sire, Simba of A.L. Paca's, well -- good night nurse!!

	SMUDGE Dam: Rosie Sire: Gunnison Introducing: Smudge. He's a delightful silver grey with a splash of black down his neck and forming a small saddle on his back. He has impressive genetics and his lovely silvery color makes him a head-turner. He's already best pals with two of our female cria. Strong bone and sturdy body, Smudge is playful and easy-going.

	BLACK KNIGHT (BK) Dam: Jade Sire: Royal Reggae V.P. of Public Relations, BK is the first to welcome visitors to our ranch. (He's partial to red-heads!) He's Ivanhoe's best buddy and is smart and sassy with very soft fleece.

	BLUEGENES' GUS "Gus" Chief of Security, Gus is a great guardian for our alpacas. He's on duty 24/7 and his sweet personality shines through... unless you're a deer, fox, groundhog, or intruder!
